The paintings displayed are "The Twelve Steps Are Giant Steps" "So What? I Have To Cut You Loose." & "Relapsin' At Camarillo" The poems that accompany each painting are on the pedestal.
I fixed up several details including the shoe in the center painting and the hanging figure on the left.

The sculptural, mixed-media elements add some dimension to the work and the poem written on the center painting is visible from the side,

On February 24, I applied for the opportunity to start an honors thesis in studio art. My application consisted of a written proposal and the display shown above. I have now been accepted to the program and I will select my advisory committee in following weeks. The program should allow me to have my own studio space in my senior year - in which to create a cohesive body of work to be reviewed by the faculty before my graduation.
I am currently reworking "The Twelve Steps Are Giant Steps" three times larger with better colors, as seen here.
One of my photographs and "So What? I Have To Cut You Loose." will appear in the Spring Issue of Cellar Door, the student literary magazine at UNC-CH.
