Muto's Moment #10

Rush

I like to sit by the side of a creek
A tender spot surrounded by trees
The small amount of water creates an entrancing sound
All I have to do is listen

I cannot hear where the water has been
I cannot hear where it will go
I know the grandest waterfalls are on its path
This is the spot I choose

Aqua serenity
The small stones form a symphony
Playing the music of matter in motion
Liquid peace

The force of the stream drives on
The nature of water is the same as man's
Forever following the path of least resistance
Wearing itself thin in hopes of reaching the great sea

I feel as if resting here
Can unbind me from the slavery of my will
I can simply listen to the rushing water
And forget the rush of man
